The house and it’s environs, Basarte, were part of the estate of Elespur,u in Bakio until the early twentieth century. This is the place our family has lived for generations, Olaskoaga, our family, for generations has been dedicated to the stewardship of our lands and the creation of the Basque signature white wine, Txakoli, from grapes grown in our vineyards.
In 2001, we decided to return to our long history of viticulture and resumed making our own Txakoli, a few years later. Today we have the honor to present ADOS, a Txakoli of character, strength and personality, endorsed by our peers for two consecutive years, we are proud to be recognized by international awards, from such prestigious publications, such as Decanter, and Bacchus Wine and Women.
Only one vineyard of 4,5 has around the house, that allows us to be explore the philosophy of “terroir ” in the development of our Txakoli wine, an elaboration handcrafted, sustainable and without herbicides.
Its name means ” AGREE “, an agreement between two times. Elaborated 100% with the variety Hondarrubi Zuri of our vineyard, only one color, aroma and personality that gives it both the grape and the land where it has been cultivated
Illusion, Calmness, Honesty and Satisfaction, … words that gather the effort and soul from all our forefathers, and that they could transmit us. Without them Basarte would not be understood. Wellcome to our house.
